MSF Switzerland is currently recruiting a qualified and experienced Operational Research Activity Manager to support an innovative research project in Bauchi State.
Location: Bauchi
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Role Overview
The selected candidate will lead and coordinate field research activities, ensuring strict adherence to study protocols and maintaining high-quality data collection standards. The role involves supervising the implementation of the SmartPPE study, ensuring participant safety, managing research teams, and supporting data analysis for evidence-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor all study activities in line with MSF protocols
Supervise data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
Ensure participant safety and compliance with PPE procedures
Manage and train study staff, including data collectors and support workers
Maintain accurate data records and oversee research tools (e.g., Kobo, ODK, Redcap)
Collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and MSF teams
Oversee logistics, inventory, and research materials
Contribute to data analysis and final reporting for publication
Requirements
Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, WASH, or related field
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience (research or clinical studies preferred)
Strong data management and analytical skills
Experience with epidemiological tools and statistical software is an advantage
Fluency in English (Hausa is an added advantage)
Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
