About the Opportunity
Are you a young graduate interested in international relations and diplomacy? This traineeship offers hands-on experience within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to Nigeria.
You’ll gain insight into how the EU represents its interests and values in Nigeria and engages with ECOWAS and other stakeholders.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Draft reports on:
Political developments
Human rights
Economic and regional issues
Foreign policy matters
Support organization of meetings and prepare minutes
Assist with communication activities
Contribute to public diplomacy events
Help prepare official visits from EU institutions
About the PPI Section
The PPI Section:
Manages political relations between the EU, Nigeria, and ECOWAS
Monitors and reports on political and regional developments
Engages with:
Government bodies
Civil society organizations
Think tanks
Media
Coordinates EU Member States on political, migration, and security matters
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:Nigerian career opportunities
Be Nigerian citizens
Currently reside in Abuja
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree
Have less than one year of professional experience after graduation
Have no more than 6 weeks prior experience in EU institutions
Benefits
Monthly stipend to cover living expenses
