This internship sits within the Digital AI and Innovation Hub which supports countries in building inclusive digital systems data strategies and innovative solutions. The programme emphasizes the role of digital technologies and AI in accelerating development outcomes.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the end of September 2026. Start dates are flexible and based on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Transformation and Innovation
Conduct research on innovation systems and emerging policy trends
Support development and testing of new policy and programme approaches
Contribute to knowledge sharing and thought leadership

Programme Delivery and Capacity Building
Assist in implementing digital and AI initiatives
Develop training and capacity building materials
Support coordination of national digital strategies
Organize webinars and learning sessions

Data Policy and Governance
Research data governance frameworks and responsible data use
Support development of national data strategies
Draft policy briefs and analytical reports

Data Analytics and Insights
Collect clean and analyze datasets
Develop dashboards and visualizations
Support monitoring evaluation and reporting
Translate data into actionable insights

Partnerships and Strategic Communications
Identify and research potential partners
Support outreach proposals and communication materials
Assist with events meetings and global engagement
Create content for social media newsletters and blogs

Process Efficiency and Resource Management
Track project plans and deliverables
Support operational planning and reporting
Develop internal tools and standard procedures
Identify and suggest process improvements

Product Design and Development
Support design and development of digital tools and platforms
Assist with product testing and implementation
Work with developers and project teams

Research and Knowledge Management
Maintain internal knowledge platforms
Conduct research on digital and AI topics
Draft summaries briefs and reports
Support dissemination of knowledge products

Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following
Currently enrolled in a graduate programme
In final year of undergraduate studies
Recently graduated and able to start within one year

Interest or experience in digital AI data or innovation is an advantage
