Job Summary
HRLeverage Africa, The Pan-African workforce management company is hiring for a Legal Compliance Officer on behalf of a client who is key player in the Fintech Sector. The Legal Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role involves monitoring regulatory developments, managing compliance frameworks, and advising management on legal and regulatory risks within the fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure company-wide compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures
• Conduct legal and regulatory research to support business operations
• Oversee AML/CFT compliance monitoring and reporting processes
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings, reports, and licensing documentation
• Advise management on legal risks and compliance issues
• Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external legal advisors
• Provide compliance training and guidance to staff
• Structured and professional work environment within the fintech sector

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB)
• Barrister-at-Law (BL) qualification is required
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in legal compliance, preferably within financial services or Fintech
